Survey Monuments Register Project

The Survey Monument Register was started in 2006 by Emeritus Surveyor, John Eggleston of the Seniors Group The aim being, to record "items" of interest to surveying and surveyors.

Definition

The Survey Monument Register records Heritage Items of interest relative to surveying and surveyors in the Colony and the State of New South Wales. Heritage Items include survey marks and monuments, plaques, memorials and graves but does not include maps, manuscripts, books, survey instruments, tools and equipment.

Administration

The Survey Monument Register is a database being compiled and managed by the Survey Monuments Register Curator.
