Cumberland Group Development Seminar

The Cumberland group of surveyors a sub group of the institution hold a seminar annually on the last Friday of the financial year, and have done so for about 15 years now.

This seminar is held in the Liverpool region and attracts a large number of delegates.

As the name suggests, the main topics relate to the development of land within the Sydney and wider NSW areas. There is a range of speakers from various disciplines, all imparting important knowledge and procedure for land development.

Topics commonly covered include;

• Parramatta river catchment area.
• Planning for Bushfires.
• Dealing with the department of planning.
• Stormwater  treatment and disposal.
• Sydney Water requirements and policy.
• Rezonings.
• LPI updates.
• Strata and community subdivision.
• Section 88B instruments.

The seminar is open to members, non members and students.
